WPTF Radio seeks an Afternoon News host. WPTF is the Triangle area’s premiere source for                                                                                                                                                                                    News, Weather, Information and Traffic. This position is based out of the Raleigh studios.

Requirements of the position include:

• Ability to gather news information and sources for interviews and reports.
• On-air News host experience in a related field is helpful
• Communicating effectively with assignment desks, colleagues, emergency agencies and other sources.
• Demonstrating extensive familiarity with local, State and Federal issues and topics.
• Working well under pressure and contributing to a positive work environment.
• Performing other related duties as required.

The successful candidate will have some previous on-air experience. An associate’s or higher degree in communications,
journalism, broadcasting or a related discipline is preferred. In addition, preference will be given to candidates who possess
proficiency and/or familiarity with Adobe Audition software.
