Curtis Media Group is looking for a Morning Anchor/Host for The WPTF Morning Show on the legendary AM 680 WPTF.

The program airs live weekdays from 5 a.m. until 9 a.m.

The Morning Show anchor will have a demonstrated record of excellent news judgment, strong writing skills that bring life to our news stories, and a keen appreciation for maintaining WPTF’s connection to our listeners. Breaking news, weather, and the most frequent and in-depth traffic reports are the stars of the show. The host must have a great presence to keep this high-paced show on track with a real touch of likeable personality to guide the busy mornings of our region. The host will also be responsible for working as a reporter, generating content for both WPTF and the North Carolina News Network with other duties as assigned.

Our candidate will have a strong work ethic with the ability to plan shows in advance as well as conduct and prepare interviews for air at any time. To be clear, the morning anchor is responsible for the generation and preparation of content during the broadcast under the direction of management. The anchor will have a strong commitment to quality execution of the product being delivered to the listener.
