Curtis Media Group is looking for a Morning Anchor/Host for The Triangle’s Morning News (TMN) on the legendary AM 680 WPTF.
The program airs Monday through Friday live from 5 a.m. until 9 a.m. followed by a lineup of mid-day talk shows and a similar afternoon drive news show.
The TMN anchor will have a demonstrated record of excellent news judgment, strong writing skills that bring life to our news stories and a keen appreciation for connection to our listeners. Breaking news, weather, and the most frequent and in depth traffic reports are the stars of the show. The host must have a great presence to keep this high-paced show on track with a real touch of likeable personality to guide the busy mornings of our region.
Our candidate will have a strong work ethic with the ability to plan shows in advance as well as conduct and prepare interviews for air at any time. To be clear, the morning anchor is responsible for the generation and preparation of content on the TMN. The anchor will have a strong commitment to quality execution of the product being delivered to the listener.
If you think you have the ability and drive to deliver quality morning news and information programming and want to be part of a radio station that has been honored by AP as North Carolina’s best radio news operation for four consecutive years, please submit your resume and air check to: Rick Martinez at firstname.lastname@example.org.
