We are looking for creative, energetic, relentlessly positive problem solvers to join the most successful radio advertising sales team in the Triangle. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced sales professional to join WQDR’s industry-leading sales team.

To qualify for this opportunity, the winning candidate must have a proven track record of success developing and selling advertising and marketing campaigns to new and existing clients.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience building mutually beneficial marketing relationships with the Triangle area’s leading companies. Consistently driving game-changing results, this individual knows how to identify, develop and present customized solutions to clients creating long-term success for the customer and Curtis Media Group. With excellent written and oral communication skills, this individual easily commands the room during presentations. Able to multi-task with a high degree of time management and organizational skills, this individual anticipates client needs and delivers on-strategy solutions that generate excellent results and maximum ROI.

BS/BA Degree. High level of sales maturity with emphasis on integrated marketing and digital solution selling. Proven track record of generating new business through cold calling, referrals and networking. 2 years of relevant sales and marketing experience – digital advertising experience is strongly preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills. Proven track record of client-facing communication and polished presentation skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Ability to identify and solve problems, create and innovate on behalf of multiple clients. Must be a self-starter. Base knowledge of local media companies, station formats and strategic advertising offerings. Experience with entertainment, consumer packaged goods, retail and brand clients is strongly preferred.
