Curtis Media Group has a Director of Community Affairs and Involvement. The position is based out of our Raleigh office. The ideal candidate for this opportunity is creative, resourceful, a good problem-solver, organized and able to multi-task. Every day will be different as you support the work of some of the most admired brands in the communities Curtis Media Group serves.


Primary responsibilities include: Being involved in the Curtis Media Group brands, local events and projects that will lead to increased listenership and sales opportunities.

An ideal candidate will have strong connections to the community and can develop station promotional events that will include health care, military, law enforcement, Veterans, first responders, and teachers. Significant involvement with civic and nonprofit groups including United Way, Children’s Hospital, Red Cross and Chambers of Commerce. Ability to create initiatives that will tie stations to large community groups and major civic organizations. Developing partnerships with existing events, and planning PSA campaigns.

Preferred Attributes

  • A minimum of 3 years Program Management experience and planning key events.
  • Understanding of media and selling cycles.
  • Experience with radio.
  • B.S. in Marketing or related field.
  • Leadership experience with community group or nonprofit.
  • Strong networking skills.
